What past participants say

As an analogue person, I was a bit scared to use AI at first. But Maija's clear explanations and hands-on website workshop made everything feel approachable and inspiring. She helped me see how prompts and AI can become creative tools instead of something intimidating. I left the workshop with fresh ideas and real motivation for my next move. Thank you!

Enjoyed the workshop very much. Maija helped me greatly improve my existing website, it now actually looks presentable and professional. Amazing teacher and a kind and patient soul!

I can really recommend Maija's workshop to anyone who wants to build a website using AI. I joined with some prior experience, as I had already been experimenting on my own, and I was surprised that I still learned A LOT during the workshop. What I appreciated most was how she took time at the beginning to answer questions and make sure everyone was on the same page before starting. At the same time, she stayed very flexible and gave individual feedback and practical tips throughout the workshop. Overall, it was a very well-prepared, supportive workshop with a really nice atmosphere.

Built my own brand website from scratch in just one day using prompting and it turned out clean and professional. I learned how to use different AI tools to shape the design, especially choosing colours and fonts more intentionally. Maija's session on colour principles and her guidance throughout the workshop (with prompt sheets and practical advice) made the whole process clear and structured. Left not just with a website, but with a better understanding of how to design one.

Starting from zero with just a few photos and ideas we built a professional homepage for our photography art project in only five hours. Maija is a master of AI tools; her ability to craft the perfect initial prompts made the impossible possible. She seamlessly combined high-level UX design skills with AI-driven text generation to deliver a ready-to-run site with no coding required. Her expert refinements and guidance on how to keep the site updated were invaluable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to bridge the gap between art and technology!

About Me

Maija Suipe

I'm a freelance UX/UI designer based in Vienna, originally from Riga, where I studied Visual Communication. I work in English, German, and Latvian, and have experience collaborating in international contexts.

In my work, I focus on helping teams understand their users and make informed decisions, rather than just producing more screens. I'm often brought in as an external UX partner to identify risks early and avoid costly mistakes.

This workshop builds on the same approach: starting with structure and clarity, then moving into execution. The goal is to create a website that works for your goals and for the people visiting it.

FAQ

  1. What makes this different from a tutorial or an online course?

Tutorials teach generic skills against a pre-baked example project, you finish with the tutorial's result, not your own portfolio. Here, a professional UX designer is in the room with you, applying real design and copy decisions to your career, your audience, and your goals. You leave with a live, personalized website on your own domain, not a half-watched playlist.

  2. What if I don't finish my website by the end of the day?

The workshop is scoped so you will. The page structure is pre-designed by a UX expert, the AI tooling moves fast, and the day is calibrated to land you with a live site by closing time, that you can perfect later. If anything edge-case takes longer, you leave with a clear plan plus a post-workshop check-in to finish it off.

  3. Do I need any coding experience?

No. The workshop teaches a vibe coding approach: you describe what you want in plain English to an AI, which writes the code while you steer, review, and refine. If you can use Google Docs and follow instructions, you have everything you need to build a real website here.

  4. What is “vibe coding” and which tools will we use?

Vibe coding is a modern workflow where you build software by collaborating with an AI in natural language instead of typing code yourself. On the day we use industry-standard AI tools.

  5. What will I walk away with at the end of the day?

A live personal website on your own domain, built around your taste, not a generic template. You'll also leave with a UX-reviewed page structure designed to convert and the practical skills to keep editing and extending the site on your own.

  6. Will the website be good enough for freelance clients or job applications?

Yes, that's the point. The structure, copy guidance, and UX of your site are shaped by a professional UX designer with a track record of conversion-focused work. You leave with a portfolio site that signals competence to clients and recruiters.

  7. How long is the workshop and where in Vienna is it held?

The workshop runs as a single full day, roughly 8 hours including breaks, at the Donau City, Vienna. It is strictly in-person so you get hands-on guidance and direct feedback throughout, not a remote call.

  8. What if I'm not sure what to put on my website yet?

That's exactly where the UX-designer-led format earns its keep. Before you touch any code, we work through who your site is for, what they need to see, and the action you want them to take, using the same content frameworks I use for paying clients. By the time you start building, your structure and copy are already decided.

  9. Can I update and maintain the website myself afterwards?

Yes, making you self-sufficient is a core goal. You'll learn how to edit copy, swap images, add new sections, and deploy changes using the same vibe-coding workflow from the workshop day.

  10. Do I need to bring a laptop, and how do I book a spot?

Yes, please bring your own laptop. You can book a spot via the Meetup link, if a new workshop is announced. Once your participation is confirmed you'll receive the exact Vienna venue address and a short pre-workshop checklist by email.
